Trapped
By Jordan Cleveland, 15
Trapped in a cage of flesh
Feeling so incomplete
Thinking about his future
And the girl he will never be
Mentally he is a woman
Physically he is a boy
His emotions rip him apart
And he feels tossed aside
like a toy
His classmates cast him stares
Looks of disgust and hate
He has hidden her for so long
But this girl cannot simply wait
She is clawing at the bars
She wants her chance to
finally shine
And the boy sits in the corner
Wondering if this flaw is
by design
He ponders this for some time
He sees that it is not a flaw
Him is her and he is she
And he will not let her fall
He has fought it many years
And he knows the hurt is
strong
Today he may be a boy
Today, but not for long.
