"Y/n hasn't said a word all day. She's just been nodding and shaking her head." Jacob says.

"She wouldn't talk to me this morning either." I say.

We haven't talked all morning

"I'm so stressed out." I say.

"Our relationship has just been bad lately. It's like we're in a car driving towards the edge of a cliff but the breaks don't work." I say.

"Have you tried talking it out in counseling?" Jacob asks.

"It never works. I just say the same things and she just ignores me — in one ear and out the other." I say.

"Yesterday, she threatened to — and I quote — divorce my ass. I don't want to lose Y/n but nothing is working." I say.

Y/n gets up from her chair and walks over to us.

"I will not be sleeping at home tonight. I will be staying at a hotel." Y/n says.

Y/n walks away and I sigh.

8 hours later...

"I thought you were joking." I say as Y/n puts clothes in her duffel bag.

"If you really wanted to you could sleep in another room." I say.

"I'm not interested." Y/n says.

"Y/n, I love you and I want us to work out. We can't work this out if you're not here." I say.

"Yeah, well, these days it's like all you want to do is argue." Y/n says.

"Let's try not to fight tonight, we'll spend the night like how we used to. We'll eat dinner, watch a movie, and maybe have time for some extra stuff." I say.

"How about we do that extra stuff now then do the movie and dinner later?" Y/n asks.

"Sounds good to me." I say.

She smiles and I cup her cheeks. She kisses me and puts her hand under my shirt.
