I discern your whispers in between classes,
I feel your deft tickles when I am in the library,
I sense your eyes on me while sleeping,
I notice your peacock feather behind the board,
I feel your breath wash over during exams,
I hear your flute when I am about to give up,
I make out your form in the dark monsoon clouds,
I find your hand on mine when it gets dark.
I see you everywhere in my life.
Is this another of your esteemed illusions?
Or a flick of my wild imagination?
And then I look into the mirror,
And realise it could never be Maya
For I find you smiling back at me,
Reflected back from the polished glass.
And there in your eyes, I see myself reflected,
Infinite images, same parallel reflection.
Infinite lives, same parallel love.
